A pair of jika-tabi designed for urban life, meticulously crafted from start to finish by skilled shoemakers in Tokyo’s downtown Asakusa, using traditional leather shoe-making techniques.
Stripped of unnecessary ornamentation, the design focuses on exceptional materials and comfort, resulting in a refined silhouette that integrates effortlessly into modern styling.
The upper is made from premium Italian vacchetta leather, a high-quality material tanned slowly and carefully with natural tree tannins. Over time, it develops a deep, rich patina, gradually molding to the shape of the wearer’s foot while gaining luster and character.
Soft, supple, and resilient with just the right thickness and elasticity, this leather makes the pair comfortable enough to be worn even barefoot.
